Hi Boys, Hi everyone,
Troy hope your ear feels better soon and loved the skype :)
Marc how are you doing? I'm sure all is great :)
Dad great to have you chat to me on skype today :)
Ralf and Sam, good to get your comments today, I'm glad to hear you're out of hospital Sam, I have been wondering how you are.
Today we got the car and are in Wallingford Connecticut. It is a really pretty little town and with snow everywhere.
The driving conditions here are alot less than ordinary. Brad has done a really great job of it though. As for road rules here, what road rules?? If they have any I'm sure no one here knows that.
We really don't like driving here and as such have modified our trip accordingly. Also due to the fact that we are extremely tired and shouldn't really be driving at all plus a few health issues between us which we need to be sensible about we have decided to come home early. We will be home next Thursday the 24th.
Today we stopped off to see a couple of quilt shops which were absolutely beautiful. I got some nice things from both of them.
A couple more to see before we come home so that will be nice.
Here are some pics from today, I hope you all like them
Talk to you all soon
Love you boys
Love to everyone
Vicky and Brad

Hi Guys- Looking Good. Sorry to hear you are coming home early - heard that the thaw is starting and it is going to get warmer.
ReplyDeleteFound your two houses on Google Street View - Yankee Cloth,411 Center St, Wallingford, Connecticut and Victorian B&B, 245 North Main Street, Wallingford - the view is not a patch on your photos though - keep up the good work.
Am going to Mackay on Tuesday - back on March 6 - see you then.
Hope the next week is better for you - no skunks OK? Just friendly critters !!!!
Love to Y'all from Us'all
Have given your Blog addy to everyone I can think of.
Graham
Hi Graham, I'm so glad to hear from you. I know Aunty Shirl has been with us the whole time. Especially at the Statue of Liberty, I kept going to turn to say things to her. I'm glad you're enjoying the pics. It really is such a pretty town here and the folks are so friendly. You wouldn't believe I left my quilters travel companion at home and had to buy another one at Yankee Cloth! It's hard to leave to come home early but it's just one of those hard decisions we had to make with the current state we're in so with that in mind it makes it easy to come home too. Have a good time up in Mackay I'm looking forward to catching up with you when you get back. Oh and the chipmunks turned out to be squirrels. But I've still got my eye out for a skunk. :-D See you soon. Love you lots
ReplyDeleteVicky xxxx
Hi guys,
ReplyDeleteOh wow I am sad that you have to cut your trip short when we can see in the photos what a wonderful time you are having. Oh well you just have to make the best of it you can while you can. You will have to post your ammended itinery so we can keep up with where you are and where you are off to next. I can only imagine what driving on those icy roads would be like! Well done Brad for navigating them. I remember the squirrels we saw in central park, funny little things aren't they? Love your photos and stories keep them coming for as long as you can. BIg Hugs and Kisses Sammy
Hi Brad and Vicky, photos are great value, I was starting to duck when I saw you holding that handful of snow.
ReplyDeleteI remember well, sitting in the car just waiting for you to throw it in at me.
Bit like the boat. Oh come on dad you never wanna play. RIP.
Well glad theres no vampires but was plenty of battles so plenty to find out.
Also, if you need me when you land, just call me and work it out, I will be ok with it.
Cheers keep up ya great shots,
Love Ya's too much,
Dad and Lisa.
