Hi Boys and hi everyone,
Well here we are at JFK airport waiting on our Delta flight to LA, then on to Melbourne and then home to Brisbane.
We arrived early in order to make sure we had plenty of time to sort out any hiccups if there were any for our ammended tickets, but everything was fine and we checked in with no problems.
Since we have plenty of time to fill in I thought I might as well do our blog.
Last night we had dinner at Planet Hollywood, which was really nice. I had the bbq Pork ribs and fries and when the big long oval plate came out the ribs took up the whole plate and hung off both ends. They were really nice though. I had to let Brad finish them, they got the better of me by the end. Brad had rib eye steak and veg and fries. Planet Hollywood has the best fries in New York! Got my coke in a nice souvenir glass. Yes Ralfy, I know what you're thinking, coke, fries, ribs, pastries and potato with everything, but you'll be glad to know I have lost weight while being here. hehe :)
As we sit here in the airport I at about 10.45am now I find I am struggling to stay awake. Fighting the sleep off though so hopefully can sleep alot on the flights. Especially the long haul cause they have that one down as 15hrs45mins. Burger King is starting to sound appealing.
Well I will have a look for a few photos and go check out burger king.
Love you boys and love you all each and every one
See you all very soon :)

Magic as snow falls in New York City
Hi Boys, hi Everyone,
This morning there was some magic in the air as we woke up to the snow falling on New York City.
Everything is so pretty, especially Central Park all covered in beautiful fresh, white, powdery snow.
So today we just had a fun day, we went to Macy's for a look, then to Fao Shwarz an amazing Toy store across from Central Park. I made a snow angel in a fountain that was snowed over in a park, then we had a horse and carriage ride through Central Park, followed by a snow fight there as well. Then we made some more snow angels near Wollman Rink. We had a blast, then back to sort out our luggage, then we tried for Bubba Gumps again but it was too late they already had a wait, so we went to Planet Hollywood where we had about a 20 min wait to be seated. It's Presidents day today so there is alot happening in Times Square, we ended up on a giant tv in times square as they were doing a fun thing there.
We are very ready to come home tomorrow and will leave here at 3pm NY time. We will land in Brisbane at 11.10am on Thursday. I can't wait to see you boys, you better brace yourselves for big hugs! You'll be thinking I'm like a barnacle, you won't be able to pry me off hehe :)
I'm looking forward to seeing all of you. It's nice to go on a vacation and see something new but there's no place like home around the ones you love!
I love you all and see you all in a couple of days :)

A day in the Big Apple
Hi Boys, Hi Everyone,
Since it was Sunday we thought we'd get ourselves off to Harlem for Church. The Gospel church of course. This time we weren't part of a tour we were part of the congregation and they opened their hearts to us and welcomed us as they're own. We became just another brother and another sister. So we danced and sang and joined hands and they even got us to go up and be blessed by the preacher. It really was quite something.
We also spent the day going to a few shops after church including the New York City Quilter. The only quilt shop in NYC. We went to Sur La Table which by the way Mum is BIG! We could spend the whole day in there.
We were hoping to get into Bubba Gumps for dinner but no luck, then to Hard Rock but they had a 3 hour wait to seat a table of 2. So we ended up at our favourite diner. We took in the cities general sights, then headed back to the hotel.
Well not long till we're home, I can't wait to see you all :)

To have a suite is sweet
Hi boys, hi everyone,
Ever since we've started this trip we've had to roll with the punches and today started out no differently. We had planned to go to Pennsylvania but when we got up this morning it was snowing here in Wallingford with the predictions of more snow to come. So we did the only sensible thing we could, we decided to do a quilt shop crawl (ahhem) a shop hop all the way back to New York.
This decision also left us scrambling to find accomodation, so we sat in the walmart carpark on the internet and the phone trying to make a reservation. Roosevelt booked out, tried some more no vacancies, then we came across the Michelangelo, we rang and they had rooms available, and to our surprise they were even friendly. The reviews on the net were all fantastic and to top it off they had specials on and we got a suite for the price of a standard room. and we're talking 4 stars. We arrived and the experience was excellent right from the doorman, he was great everyone made us feel so welcome. Our room is off the hook, we overlook the wintergarden on one side and down 51st on the other side. Its quiet, and full on luxurious, they even have a bidet, not that we're going near that.
We settled in and got the weather report that a snowstorm was coming though the midwest and through Pennsyvania moving east through the top of NY state and knew without doubt or regret that we had made the right decision.
The quilt shop hop was so much fun, we got to meet so many nice ladies and the shops are just beautiful, very inspiring!
Brad has done an awesome job of driving here and we were so glad to give the car back.
Here are a few highlight pics of the day. We love you boys and we love you all each and everyone. It is so nice to be getting your comments it's like having you all with us.

Hi Boys, Hi Everyone,
Snowmen fall from Heaven unassembled and then we came along and put one together. We had so much fun making this beautiful guy, we rolled snowballs till they got bigger and bigger, then we went and bought him a nose and we would like you all to meet our sweet snowman Ned.
Above are Ned of course, and the stained glass window halfway up the staircase in the Victorian and the view across the street. All of the houses are so cute. It really is so pretty, like a picture postcard.
Well until the next exciting installment,
We love you boys and we love all of you

snow snow come out in the snow
Hi Boys, Hi everyone,
Troy hope your ear feels better soon and loved the skype :)
Marc how are you doing? I'm sure all is great :)
Dad great to have you chat to me on skype today :)
Ralf and Sam, good to get your comments today, I'm glad to hear you're out of hospital Sam, I have been wondering how you are.
Today we got the car and are in Wallingford Connecticut. It is a really pretty little town and with snow everywhere.
The driving conditions here are alot less than ordinary. Brad has done a really great job of it though. As for road rules here, what road rules?? If they have any I'm sure no one here knows that.
We really don't like driving here and as such have modified our trip accordingly. Also due to the fact that we are extremely tired and shouldn't really be driving at all plus a few health issues between us which we need to be sensible about we have decided to come home early. We will be home next Thursday the 24th.
Today we stopped off to see a couple of quilt shops which were absolutely beautiful. I got some nice things from both of them.
A couple more to see before we come home so that will be nice.
Here are some pics from today, I hope you all like them
Talk to you all soon
Love you boys
Love to everyone

extended Day in New York
Hi Boys, Hi everyone,
We decided not to go up to Massachussets this morning
and to just stay in New York the extra day to see things
we hadn't gotten round to yet and with being quite tired
we didn't quite feel up to driving the icy conditions.
So we've had a lovely day today and this is what we did...
We went and got our mobile broadband now we are set
with net where-ever we go.
Then off to Bryant Park, they have an ice skating rink
there and a carousel.
We saw the American Museum of Natural History &
met Rexy
and had a wander through Central Park
So all in all a great day, oh and I almost forgot I met
