The first installment at last!

Hi Everyone,
Well we set off from the airport in Bris allbeit a bit sad, a bit excited and alot of mixed emotions.  We have finally arrived in New York today after what I would call a gruelling and somewhat harrowing flight and delays.  With a 5hr wait in Sydney, then flight to LA became the night without end for the next about 13hrs 15 mins.  Followed by another 8.5hrs wait for our flight to NY which is another 5.5hr flight. All in all nearly 34hours and we are exhausted.  We had enough time to check in to our hotel grab a super quick shower and get over to the Gospel tour. No time for breakfast.

Now backing up just a minute funny story at LAX, after finally spending about 4hrs getting through customs and checking into our flight I decided I would try and connect to a wifi hotspot at the airport and start on the first blog (me being a complete newbie and all at this wifi hotspot business).  We found the spot and sat at a table but after trying as I might I couldn't connect.  Beside us at the next table was a man sitting listening to his ipod.  "Well" I said to Brad, "its no good here Windows has diagnosed the problem and we are out of range".  So we moved to every other wifi hotspot we could find, still no success, we decided to go back to our original seat so we could look out at LA and I would try again.  Whilst sitting here near to the man at the table now 2 across, all of a sudden an airport policeman arrived and started asking him a few questions, next thing there were 5 airport police one standing in between us and them and they were calling dispatch, yes it is just like the movies. Next thing dispatch had given the word and they had him handcuffed and were giving him the 3rd degree.  All whilst we were acting completely uninterested and somewhat oblivious to the whole situation. So they arrested him and carted him off.  Now, I know the question on all of your lips...did I manage to connect?....that would be no, now with my growing frustration especially since every man and his dog had a laptop seemingly on the internet, ok there were no dogs but you get my point, I thought that's it, its my computer that's the problem! I will try once more over at another hub that everyone was gathered around and...nothing! So just as I was about to throw my laptop out onto the tarmac under the wheels of an incoming flight from Dubai, Brad asked someone if they were connected and they said...no they hadn't been able to at all.   aaaah sigh of relief :-). So the computer is here and finally I am on the hotel internet.
